You are able to create as many groups as you'd like and there is no limit on how many members can be in each group. But keep in mind that you can only create or manage your group on our website at www.groupvalet.com. You cannot create or manage a group in our app. But once you create the group and activity, members will see those in their app.

First, let's define a couple of terms to make sure we're talking about the same thing.

Group - a collection of people that will be notified about certain activities.  Each person can decide whether or not they want to sign up for each activity. All group members will be notified about all the activities for the group.

Activity - an event that group members will be notified about. When you create the activity, you decide whether members can sign up for the activity, or if it's just an announcement (with no signups).  An activity can happen only on one date, or it can repeat on various schedules (three times a week, once a week, once every other week, the 3rd Tuesday of each month, etc).  There are numerous ways you can schedule your activity, but you only need to create it once no matter what the schedule is.

Participant - a person who has signed up for an activity.  At the end of the signup period, you will automatically receive the list of participants for that activity.

Now, let's discuss how to create a group and an activity.

1. Log into GroupValet at www.groupvalet.com.

2. At the top, click Create Group.

3. You will now go through the 3 steps for creating the group: Create the Group, Create an Activity, Add/Invite Members to the Group.

4. Fill out the Create Group form.  If you're not sure what type of group you want to create, click the word "Explain".  Or you can read about the different group types here.

5. Next, move on to Create an Activity (GroupValet will automatically take you here once you're done with step 4).  If your community or club requires permission for groups, then you will pause at this step until your group is approved.  At that point you will be able to continue.

6. After the Activity is created, the last step is to add, or invite, members to the group.  If the group type is Private, then your only option is to Invite members by entering their email address.  Once each member accepts the invitation, they will be in the group.  If the group type is either Community Private or Community Searchable, you will be able to add members to the group and they will immediately be members of the group.  If you are not sure what the different group types are, you can read about them here.  Once a member is officially in the group, they will start to receive the notices based on the schedule you set up.
