When you sign up for an activity and see your status as Pending, it means your signup has been received but is being held temporarily until a few more people sign up too.
How does it work?
Some activities use a feature called Smart Signup. Instead of confirming people one at a time, the system waits until a certain number of new signups are ready, then confirms them all together. For example, if the activity needs groups of 4, the system will hold signups as Pending until 4 people are ready to be added, then move all 4 onto the main signup list at once.
What do I need to do?
Nothing — the process is automatic. Once enough people have signed up to fill the next batch, the system will move you from Pending to the confirmed signup list. You'll receive a notice and see your status change on your dashboard.
Can I cancel while I'm Pending?
Yes. As long as the group captain has cancellations turned on, you can cancel your signup at any time while you're in Pending status, just like you would for any other activity.
Can I change my signup question answers while Pending?
Yes. If the activity has signup questions, you can view and update your answers while you're in Pending status.
How long will I be Pending?
It depends on how quickly other members sign up. As soon as enough people are ready to fill the next batch, everyone in that batch is confirmed automatically. There's no set time limit, except the end of the general signup period.
Is Pending the same as being on a Waitlist?
No. A waitlist means the activity is full and you're waiting for someone to cancel. Pending means there's still room, but the system is waiting to confirm a batch of signups together rather than one at a time.
