Confirmation emails are sent once per hour. They include confirmations for responses that were made in the previous hour. Since it's possible, and likely, that our users will respond to more than one event from various groups within an hour, there are certain rules in place for what name the confirmation email will be sent from.
First, our system looks at all the responses for each user within the previous hour and it puts all the confirmations into one bundle, so they can be sent in one email.
Here are the rules that determine who the confirmation bundle will be "from". The default sender is the person who created the event.
If there is only 1 community event in the bundle, and there is a different community manager selected to send the confirmation email other than the default (the event creator), then the confirmation will be sent from that selected person.
If there is only 1 community event in the bundle and the default (creator) has not been changed as the confirmation sender, then the confirmation will be sent from the event creator.
If there are multiple events in the bundle, but all the events have the same confirmation sender (whether it's the default event creator or a different person that was selected), then the confirmation will be sent from the selected sender.
If there are multiple events in the bundle, or there is a mix of group and community events In the bundle, and there is more than 1 sender, then the confirmation will be sent from GroupValet.
Note that only community events allow for someone other than the creator to be selected as the confirmation sender. For group activities, the confirmation sender will either be the activity creator or GroupValet.
