When you create an activity or event you have the option of putting it in Test Mode.
What is Test Mode?
Test Mode allows you to create your activity without it being live. When in Test Mode, only managers and staff will see it - regular members will not see it, on either the website or the app. Also, the automated signup notices will not be sent out when in Test Mode.
IMPORTANT NOTE
While in Test Mode you can still sign up other members. If you sign them up, they will receive a confirmation notice. Also, if you choose Notify Now when you create the activity, or if you Manage the activity and choose Send Sign-Up Notice, those will be sent - so be sure you really want that. There is a warning message in both places, just in case.
How to turn Test Mode on or off
It is easy to toggle Test Mode on or off - just note that you can only do this from our website, not in the app. The easiest way is to log into groupvalet.com and scroll down to one of your activities. Under "For Managers Only" you will see the current state of your activity along with a link to toggle it. You'll see one of these two options:
Simply click the link and confirm. Note - if you have a repeating activity (weekly game, for example), this toggle will affect all instances - not just the one you click on.
You can also toggle Test Mode on or off by editing the activity.
