Yes! You have complete control over what notices you receive. If you are away for a portion of the year, and wish to turn off GroupValet notices while you are away, just follow these steps:
1. Log in to GroupValet, either at groupvalet.com or in our app.
2. Open your Profile. On the website, click your name at the top of the left sidebar. In the app, tap the hamburger menu in the upper right and tap "Profile".
3. Scroll down to the "Notification Preferences" section. On our website, go to the Notifications tab.
4. Find your group and update the Notices value.
5. If you belong to a club, do the same under "Community Notification Status" for any club whose notices you want to pause.
6. Click "Update" at the bottom of the page.
Note - at the top of Notification Preferences there is a "Status" dropdown with an "Unsubscribed - you will not receive any notices" option. Use this one with caution. It applies to your whole GroupValet account, not to a single group or club, so it turns off everything at once: all of your groups, every club you belong to, and important alerts from your club. If you belong to more than one club, it will silence the clubs you are still at, not just the one you are away from. Disabling notices group-by-group is the safer choice.
